A look at Derma-E's New Look!

I recently had a chance to take a look at as well as review Derma-E’s new packaging.  Now I want to first start by saying Derma-E did not change their formulation, they just gave their packaging a new look.   So don’t be alarmed when you see the beautiful new packaging, as it is still the Derma-E products you know and love.

Now Derma e sent me a product with the old packaging; Derma e Hydrating Day Crème as well as one in the new packaging; Derma-E Hydrating Night Cream

Let me share a bit about the brand and then I’ll go on to my review;

Derma-E has been making natural skincare since 1984

1)Their products do not contain parabens, sodium lauryl sulfates, petrolatum, mineral oil, artificial colors, gluten, soy or GMOs

2) Products are Cruelty Free and Vegan

3) Derma-E believes in giving back and your purchases support Global Communities and the    Environment

4) Is a family-owned and is made at a small-batch manufacturing facility in California, USA.

5) 80+ unique face care, body care and treatment items

6) Their products are packaged with recyclable components

7) Derma-E has a Renewable Energy Certificates

Though this review is mainly for the packaging changes, I can’t help but also give you my thoughts on a few of the product that I have tried as well.  I have dry, sensitive skin and I have tried many and I mean many, many skincare brands and since I am a rescue mama and foster I really appreciate ethical brands that are cruelty free.  Too often many of the brands I’ve tried sadly don’t provide me with the results I hope for or am looking for in a product.  Derma-E’s Hydrating Night Cream is honestly the first night cream that I’ve tried that has left my skin feeling hydrated and silky feeling even after washing off in the morning.  Sure a lot of other products out there make your skin feel amazing when they are applied, but even a lot of the other brands our there simply don’t, at least not mine.

Anyway, I just wanted to add this, because if your skin is like mine you might consider giving Derma-E a try.   To me Derma-E is like a luxury skincare line that’s ethical and affordable.   I really hope my results continue, because if they do I will be completely changing out my skincare regiment.

Ok, enough about my experience with the products themselves.  Now like I mentioned I was provided these Derma-E products to review the packaging, so here are my thoughts:

Old Packaging thoughts:

1       Old packaging to me felt more like they were advertising a teens acne product than that of an ethical brand 80+ products for face and body.

2      Nothing in the old packaging conveyed a socially responsible, giving back kind of company either.

Old Packaging is bright, vibrant and easy to notice, but for me it’s more over look for the reasons mentioned earlier.

New Packaging:

Honestly I love the new packaging, it reminds me of a spa brand a bit, it’s ethereal and almost Zen like.

The new packaging colors as well as design fit much better with their Lotus flower logo

To me the new packaging better conveys Derma-E commitment to their customers and the Environment as well as being cruelty free.

Honestly I really like the new packaging, as I mentioned before I would have and sorry to say have actually over looked the brand thinking that they were more of an adolescent skin care line.  I never would have guessed they offered all the great products they do, nor would I have thought they were made in the USA, were Cruelty Free, nor socially responsible and really being honest, I never would have tried this brand before because of the packaging never seemed like it was a brand for my skin care needs.  However now, since getting a chance to review the new packaging I have since gone on to looking into the other products they offer and if the results I’ve had for about the past week continue I will look into replacing my current line of skincare products with Derma-E
