Our Month With The 10" Ozeri Green Earth Pan

Our Month With The 10" Ozeri Green Earth Pan, I’ve only had this pan for a little over a month now and the nice folks at Ozeri sent me this pan to give it a try and give my honest opinion on it. Now this pan was something I had heard about and I believe I had seen in a couple of stores, I noticed it on display, but never picked one up, because I wasn't in the market for a new Non-Stick pan at that time.

(Oh, my cooktop isn't dirty, our last renters took horrible care of it and this was the result we returned home too)

A little about me: I’m a foodie, I love to cook (hate washing dishes, though, lol) I own several pieces of High-end and Professional cookware and I’ve even had some non-stick pieces over the years.

Currently, I only have about 3 pieces of non-stick cookware including this pan, though I love the non-stick features in non-stick pans, over the years I’ve been really picky about the pieces I own, because of the whole PFOA issue.

Along with this pan I own 1 High-end and 1 Professional, both are also PFOA free, however, I’ve had them a few years now and it’s time to replace my 10” pan, which is why I was in search of a new Non-Stick pan and how I came across this one. I too, like many of you had seen the advertising and though skeptical I have high hopes for it.

Now, this review is based on a month use, that the pan is used about 4 times a week.

I’ve used The 10" Ozeri Green Earth Pan to make breakfast, lunch, dinner, eggs, pancakes, grilled cheese, bacon, melt chocolate and more. I’ve only hand washed this pan, so I can’t say how these do in a dishwasher since I don’t wash my pans in the dishwasher.

What I really like:

Pan washes up very easily

The non-stick has been the best I’ve seen in all the years I’ve been cooking

When sautéing you really need very little oil or butter or stock and that is mainly for the added flavor

Eggs have come out perfect even without butter!

Fresh vegetables sauté up nicely and don’t stick!

Grilled Cheese Sandwiches turn out perfect!

Even Oatmeal (yes, I tried it to see if it would stick, lol) slid right out of the pan easily

The pan has a nice weight to it, not too heavy and not too light since I have arthritis from an old injury I appreciate it's lighter weight.

What I’m on the fence about:

The handle, I'm used to a metal handle which is on nearly all of my other cookware and this one is a Bakelite handle.  So, I am not sure I like the handle or how it feels in my hand, but again I haven’t had this much more than a month. However, the handle does seem very sturdy.

What I don’t care for:

I’ve found It hard to brown or sear anything, but that is because of how well the non-stick works!

Overall:

I really like this pan and I liked this pan enough that I found the lid to it on Amazon.

If this pan continues to perform like it has so far, I will pick up one in the 12" size, but so far, it’s been great for us and I’m very pleased with this pans non-stick performance!

Given what I have experienced with this pan and its' non-stick ability, it's offered at a pretty good price point as well.
