Between not always being a breakfast person or simply a busy day that gets away from me, it is often easier to eat something that is more of a quick eats kind of thing, but I also want something that is a better choice than the typical convenience food.
This is where Protein bars, Protein shakes and Smoothies come in for me.
Fresh Smoothies, takes a bit more work since they need a blender to blend up the Fruit, Protein powder and liquid of choice, so that is more of my have more time in my morning or day kind of thing.
Protein shakes, sure, I can easily do the lazy shake as I call it, with Protein powder, a liquid of choice and my handy dandy Blender bottle (yes, I know I am a bit obsessed with them and have 5 different ones, but they are different sizes and one has a saying I love! lol)
Then come protein bars, these are a fast easy way to make hunger go away, they are great on the go, great after that Yoga class or Workout and often this Bloggers quick meal! lol
Being a Flexitarian, I tend to eat more on the Vegetarian side and I am often on the lookout and eager to try Vegetarian or Vegan snacks or meals.
As a consumer, I already really like Genuine Health's Fermented Greek Yogurt Bars (the Cinnamon Pecan is my favorite and they are awesome when slightly heated in the Microwave, OMG)...So when I was asked if I wanted to review Genuine Health's Fermented Vegan Proteins + bars, I thought why not, as I've reviewed a few of their other products before and in addition to their Fermented Greek Yogurt bars, I even still use their Probiotics as a consumer which were a product that I reviewed for them.
Genuine Health sent me a few of their Genuine Health's Vegan Fermented Proteins + Bars in Double Chocolate Chip
The Double Chocolate Chip bar has a rich Chocolate and chewy Coconut, almost a dense Brownie like texture, but not sticky like a Brownie, a bit drier like a Brownie Cookie if that makes sense.
I found these to be quite yummy and a bit indulgent when crumbled up in a Coconut Yogurt and Banana Parfait or on top of a bowl of Coconut Yogurt with Berries!
